Born in Iron River, Michigan to Agnes and Michael Dacheff, Dorothy always described having a happy and fun-filled childhood with her three brothers Edward, Richard, and Mickey. She enjoyed the Drama Club at Stambaugh High School and had aspirations to pursue nursing after graduation. Dorothy moved to Chicago in 1941 and spent most of her adult life working closely with her husband at Casimer Studios supporting their photography business. In her later years Dorothy volunteered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Providence Soup Kitchen as well as a local Catholic preschool.
Dorothy will be remembered for her kind heart and generosity to family, friends, and strangers. She ferociously loved her family, especially her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please send donations to : Rainbow Hospice Volunteer Services, 1550 Bishop Court, Mount Prospect, IL 60056.
